About Me

I never know what to say on these things, but I guess I'd like to share a bit about myself just so you can know a little more about the guy who writes the blog posts.

This fall I'll be an incoming graduate student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I recently graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with an undergraduate degree in Russian (Area Studies Concentration). That pretty much means that I've studied the language, culture and history of the Russian Federation and former Soviet Union. Originally this was in an attempt to develop my Russian language skills in order to work for the United States government in some capacity. My path in life has changed, however, as I have chosen to follow the path to which I fully believe Christ has led me.

For now I will pursue a Masters of Divinity at SWBTS with a concentration in international children's ministry. From there I hope to work with orphanages in Russian-speaking countries. My long term goal is to open an orphanage of my own - hopefully abroad.
